Fresh snowfalls and cold temperatures have given a boost to a potentially good start for the snow season.
With all resorts receiving about 10cm of natural snow last weekend, plus the added bonus of cold nights allowing for great snowmaking, the resorts are preparing their terrain for the opening June long weekend.
This week will see a small top up off snow followed by more cold nights. Hopefully this bodes well for more snowmaking activities and a good base on the key runs.
Thredbo and Perisher will have entertainment for the long weekend regardless of snow. But it sure would be nice to have a slide and crank out some turns for the opening.
Stay tuned for more snow news in coming weeks, but in the mean time peruse over the Snow Depth chart to compare your favourite seasons.
