The Skitube transports guests via a Swiss designed rack-rail train through the 6.3km tunnel from Bullocks Flat on the Alpine Way to Perisher. Guests can change trains for the short journey to Blue Cow where the train terminates.
The beauty of Skitube is Bullocks Flat is below the natural snowline, allowing guests an easier transport option than driving to Perisher in winter.
At Bullocks Flat you will find extensive parking for both day visitors and overnight stays. There is limited overnight parking in Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes so guests staying at lodges in the resort park at Bullocks Flat and transport their luggage via Skitube where they make overnsow connections to their desired lodgings.
The train has a regular timetable and is very punctual, the terminal doors close one minute prior to departure. At Bullocks Flat you will find ski a ticket office and information desk, ski and snowboard hire, a kiosk for coffee and food and a souvenir shop. There are trolleys to transport your luggage from the car drop off area onto the Skitube to the Perisher Valley station.
Day trippers can ride the train for a scenic ride all the way to the top, changing trains at Perisher for Blue Cow. Once at Blue Cow, you have a large bistro and be sure to take a stroll for one of the best scenic locations in the Australian snowfields.
