After threatening weather in the first week of March, the Dalgety Show was held with a big crowd enjoying overcast conditions in what was a great day out for the community.
Everyone was well entertained through the day with three rings hosting the horses in various events, the sheep were inspected closely for their fine wool and cattle paraded before the judges.
Popular for the kids was the petting zoo and being able to see up close the best feathered chickens, roosters, ducks and geese in the poultry section. The areas best sheep dogs were put through their paces under the timing watch and is always entertaining.
The pavilion was well frequented to see who had won awards for their entries and the wood choppers raised a sweat swinging their sharp blades.
At the official opening John Lette and Neil Lynch were awarded with Life Memberships of the Dalgety Show.
The Dalgety Show committee said "their contribution to the show over a number of decades has attributed to the success of the Dalgety Show, both quiet achievers, we are truly honoured to recognise their efforts with life membership".
Dalgety Showgirl Maddy Kirshner said being showgirl this year has been the most incredible experience.
"I have met so many awesome people and got to represent Dalgety and would really like to encourage anyone else who considers this to have a chat with me, I would really like to keep this tradition going," said Maddy.
