Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail Sculpture Forest
Kicking off our 4 Day Art, Food & Wine Long Weekend on Thursday 18 April, we will be hosting a free family day in Bago State Forest to celebrate the launch of the Sculpture Forest stage of the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail.
All are welcome to join us on the day, starting at 11am at the Sugar Pines, followed by free kid's activities from 12.30pm at Pilot Hill Arboretum, with coffee van, drumming and music, a sausage sizzle on offer, and of course new sculptures to experience and enjoy!

The Snowy Valleys of southern NSW is to receive a major new cultural tourism experience with the opening of a Sculpture Forest within Bago State Forest. An addition to the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail, the new Sculpture Forest will open on 18 April with a special family picnic day planned for local community and visitors.
Located in Bago State Forest at Laurel Hill and Pilot Hill, the Sculpture Forest offers a range of experiences at three very different sites:
- Two large sculpture installations at Laurel Hill, next to Batlow Road on the Snowy Valleys Way between Batlow and Tumbarumba,
- Three very different sculptures, including one by Batlow local artist Robyn Sweeney, at Pilot Hill Arboretum, among historic plantings of a diverse range of trees dating back to the early 1900s; and
- Eight sculptures (with more to be added) along the stunning, 1km Alpine Ash Walk at Pilot Hill Arboretum
