The towns of Berridale and Dalgety are smaller towns of the Snowy Monaro, each with its own distinct charm. Most visitors pass through Berridale on their way to the mountains. The town has a number of shops, café, club and Shut the Gate wines cellar door.

Dalgety, based on the banks of the Snowy River with the historic bridge is a popular driving loop from Jindabyne and route to the south coast. Businesses include the Snowy River Holiday Park, Iona café, local pub and Tuscany restaurant for weekend lunch is highly recomended.
