Beat The Burn Jindabyne Charity Night

Fire Rescue NSW Firefighters will be converging on the NRMA Holiday Park at Jindabyne from all over the state beginning March 11 to lay down their hoses and put their heroes in the Burns Unit first.

Beat The Burn is an annual fundraiser organised by FRNSW Firefighters. It consists of two components being the physical event in Jindabyne and the virtual event across the state at each local FRNSW Fire Station.

Over a period of five days, nearly 70 FRNSW and ACT firefighters will be road cycling, mountain biking, running, hiking and paddling through the Kosciuszko National Park.

Around the state, firefighters will be competing in our virtual event from their very own fire station. Fire crews will be able to utilise their treadmills, spin cycles and rowing machines in an all out competition to see which FRNSW Fire Station can travel the most kilometres.

Each day will be dedicated to a kid currently doing it tough in the Burns Unit with the firefighters knowing that the pain that they are going through is nothing compared to what these kids have been through.

Local Touch

FRNSW Station 338 Jindabyne has signed up to Beat The Burn this year. Local firefighters are participating in both the hiking and mountain biking events over the week.

The crew has been out fundraising including running a bake sale at the Local Jindabyne Markets just two weeks ago where they were able to raise over $250. The Jindabyne crew were also at Seasn Terrace Cafe recently where they served coffee and assisted staff as an additional fundraiser.

"The collaborative efforts at Seasn Cafe with the fire brigade running the show last Saturday making coffees, cleaning dishes, serving coffee and Jake's live music created an amazing atmosphere," said Seasn Terrace Cafe.

"The community's generous support resulted in a successful morning, and we're thrilled to announce a donation of $350.00 (20% of the takings) to the Snowy Mountains team fundraising for their Beat The Burn involvement."

Fundraiser Night

Thursday March 14th - Lake Jindabyne Hotel 6pm

Join the Beat The Burn crew and local Fire and Rescue NSW Station 338 Jindabyne firefighters at Lake Jindabyne Hotel on Thursday the 14th of March for the annual Burns Unit Fundraiser Night.

The FRNSW Brass Band will be in full swing playing some classics, take part in our raffle and purchase some Beat The Burn Merchandise.

All proceeds go directly to FRNSW 002 Station The Burns Unit at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Come down at 6pm to say hello and partake in the fun as our firefighters celebrate the end of a tough week riding, running and hiking for the kids.

Residents who watched last years Brass Band playing were highly impressed and were keen to see more again when they returned. Now is your chance to also invite your friends this year.

It will be a fantastic night and highly entertaining. Plus please donate to this worthy cause.
