The sweetest time of the year in Thredbo will be the Easter Adventure Carnival kicking off in school holidays from April 9.
THE two-week holiday extravaganza running from April 9 until April 24 has a mountain of events and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy. There will be a range of free activities held around the village, including kids bike races, family yoga classes, slackline fun, tree planting and more!
The Easter Bunny will be bouncing into town on Easter Sunday to pay the kids a special visit and handing out some yummy chocolatey goodness.
Kids love riding their bikes and the mountain bike crew at Thredbo will he helping kids to progress with tips during the kids’ bike race. The Kids Skills Park near the Valley Terminal will be full of action as the youngsters get a taste of friendly competition with prizes on offer.
Everyone is environmentally conscious and the kids are the generation to enforce that. What better way to help the planet than by planting trees to offset carbon emissions? The kids will love to get their green thumbs into the soil, and their mini shovels, so join in this great initiative.
Wanting to get that Zen feeling in Thredbo, then the family yoga classes accommodate all ages and the younger ones can stretch alongside mum and dad and feel rejuvenated.
Thredbo’s Leisure Centre is always popular, and the Mission Inflatable and water slides are great entertainment. K7 Adventures will be hosting bouldering clinics and offering tips for the kids to climb the wall, just call to book ahead.
For a faster pace jump onto the Bobsled, either the kids by themselves depending on age, or with mum or dad as pilot. The ride is super fun and will bring a smile to everyone’s face as you slide into the finish area. Additional activities include alpine bungee trampoline sessions for some extra bounce on your holiday.
The Easter Adventure Carnival is also an excellent time for the whole family to experience everything Thredbo has to offer.
Families can explore over 37kms of mountain bike trails at Australia's only lift-accessed mountain bike park, including mountain bike lessons, or take a hike in Australia's highest mountains, including summiting the country's tallest peak, Mt Kosciuszko.
