November 20-21 Talbingo Dam event now cancelled as of 17 November

With the recent covid lockdown restrictions affecting the schedule for Dave Warby to further test his boat in pursuit of the world water speed record, the team have scheduled private testing on Talbingo Dam.

The trials will be conducted on Talbingo Dam in an effort to minimise disruption to the other boating enthusiasts leaving Blowering Dam open for the weekend. 

Warby Motorsport will conduct private trials on Talbingo Dam north of Point Monster during the weekend of 20 and 21 November 2021.

The exclusion zone is between Point Monster and the Dam Wall, including Honeysuckle and Waterfall Bays. The boat ramp will not be accessible.

Transport for New South Wales has declared an exclusion zone for the weekend meaning the northern part of the dam will not be available for use by other boats. No Unauthorised vessels may operate within the inclusion zone.

The team are conducting private trials to fine tune the boat for a future attempt on the world water speed record, possibly in 2022.

Due to safety concerns, access to the boat ramp and beach at the northern end of the dam will be closed for the weekend at Miles Franklin Drive near T3 Power Station.

Followers of Dave Warby's quest to break his father Ken's world water speed record will understand the need to continue testing as he increases the speed of the boat after recent modifications. With Blowering Dam coming into a busy summer, that water way would be unavailable until at least February or March 2022. Hence the need to utilise Talbingo Dam.
