Selwyn Fire Images

Images of the fire impact of Selwyn Snow Resort have surfaced this morning. The resorts building infrastructure has been severely damaged.

Selwyn Snow Resort issued a post of their Facebook page this morning.

"We can advise that NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service staff were able to access the resort yesterday."

"While we do not yet know the status of lifting and snowmaking infrastructure, we can confirm that the resort buildings have been severely damaged by the fire.

"The below photos were taken Sunday 5th January.

"The Blyton Group is committed to Selwyn Snow Resort and our focus now is on rebuilding an even better Selwyn. We look forward to working with NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, the NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment and other relevant agencies in this process.

"We will update you with further information about the resort as it comes to hand."

Selwyn Snow Resort has been a fantastic and important piece of the snow industry jigsaw where many people have learnt to ski and start their snow life. It is a popular family resort and one which has lasting memories for all Selwyn guests.

In our post yesterday to advise of the news, there was overwhelming love for the resort, with everyone saddened by the news.

It is also an important part of the winter economy for the township of Adaminaby.
