Perisher Peaks for June Long Weekend Music Festival

THE Peak Music Festival will kickstart your long weekend with a list of hugely talented artists performing at multiple venues across three days.

The beauty of the Peak Festival at Perisher is you can enjoy the snow in the morning, and party in the afternoon into the evening. And with a shuttle bus running between Smiggins and Perisher, you can easily move between the two resort areas.

Revellers have always kickstarted with a Friday evening visit to either the Smiggins Hotel stage, or The Man from Snowy River where music starts from 7pm. With most artists perform at multiple venues, miss them at one location, no problem, you can catch them at their next performance.

Popular duo the Hussy Hicks are returning to join other big names including Boo Seeka, The Regime, Shantan Wantan Ichiban and Cool Out Sun, all pumping out big tunes. Need more convincing, then check out what to expect, plus more.

Boo Seeka

A combination of pulsating sounds that bed down layered textures of electronic bass and percussive beats, Boo Seeka’s smooth synths and rolling beats keeps the energy sizzling like a neon sign on the Miami strip.

The Regime

Exploding out of Sydney’s inner-west, The Regime is a 20+ piece funk ensemble, that’s tipping the scales firmly back into the favour of fun. Dripping with raw sexual energy that’s one part James Brown and two parts Jamiroquai lavishly sprinkled with George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic, this instant party machine is an orgiastic carnival of the senses that has-to-be-seen-to-be-believed.

Shantan Wantan Ichiban

Holding it down at triple j, Shantan Wantan Ichiban has been the go-to guy when the national youth broadcaster has needed someone with great music selection and microphone presences to bring the party to Australia across the airwaves. Similarly as a DJ, Shantan has proved to be one of the most versatile on the circuit.
