Perisher to Open Early on June 4

When you see snow groomer activity on Perisher’s Front Valley slopes that looks like they are preparing their runs to open, well in fact they are.

The resort will open this Friday June 4, more than a week prior to the official opening long weekend on June 12. Lifts will be operating from the normal 8.30am opening time.

This is not unusual for Perisher to open early, they have always strived to be the first to open when conditions allow.

With good pre winter May snowfalls backed up by cold weather and cold nights ideal for snowmaking, the stars have aligned to open early and have skiers and snowboarders sliding the Front Valley slope. With four more nights of good snowmaking the snow will be in good condition to kickstart the 2021 Australian snow season.

The news was released to their season pass holders this afternoon.

Tickets, lessons, rentals and Skitube are all on sale for the season from June 1.

Season passes are available until June 15.
