Beijing 2022
Day 5 Beijing 2022 Australian Preview

Great day for the Australians today on Day 5 of the Beijing games with medal chances in women’s snowboard cross.

Belle Brockhoff and Josie Baff will be competing for a medal today in the women’s snowboard cross.

Belle is one of the star riders and we hope she can claim a medal for herself and Australia and erase the disappointment of PyeongChang in 2018. Josie Baff is making her debut at the Winter Olympics and can compete with the best of them. We wish them well.

Snowboard cross starts with individual time-trial seeding, then progress to heats of four where you need a little ounce of luck. Top 2 from each heat progress to next round. Then small final of 5 to 8 ranked riders, and then the top four compete in the final.

Action packed must watch event.

Plus, snowboarding halfpipe qualifying for men and women.

We have three riders, Emily Arthur in the women and superstar Scotty James, bronze medal from 2018 PyeongChang and rising star Valentino Guseli in the men.

This event has it all, sensational action, drama and superstars of world snowboarding including the retiring Shaun White from the USA.

In Alpine skiing Katie Parker will ski in the slalom after passing final covid test on morning of event.
