Thredbo Resort have today contacted their season pass holders to advise of season pass refunds, changes in ticket structure for 2020 season and also discounts season pass holders will receive.

In the statement, Thredbo advise that to enable the resort to open for skiing and snowboarding, Thredbo will be rolling out a revised operating model that has been developed under the advice provided by the NSW Health Department and the State and Federal Governments.

The revised model includes reduced daily capacity limits by up to a maximum of 50% of our normal capacity to comply with Government social distancing guidelines as well as the implementation of a range of sanitisation measures.

As a result, we are no longer able to offer 2020 season passes and are refunding all orders. This is an important step required to allow us to manage the number of skiers and snowboarders accessing the resort each day.

Season Pass holders are eligible for a refund or a MyMoney credit (with no expiry date) with option to refund, or have my credit money addedd to their card.

Season Pass Discounts

As a valued Season Pass holder you are eligible for a discount on the 1 Day Lift Pass rate of up to 75% off*.
All guests will need to pre-purchase day lift passes online prior to arrival.

Thredbo have allocated a portion of the daily inventory for Season Pass guests to access 1 Day Lift Passes at the discounted rate.

*The more days you ski, the more you save – additional discounts will be applied after you purchase 10, 15 and 20 days within our 2020 winter season. Discount varies based on day of week/seasonality.

Thredbo will advise as soon as pricing is available. Discounts will be available when passes go on sale at 11.59pm on Wednesday 10 June 2020.

………………………

This information should please Thredbo season pass holders, many of whom took to social media yesterday in anger at losing their season pass due to the announcement of  reduced daily capacity. It is a difficult year for everyone, and Thredbo have demonstrated here they do value their season pass holder.

We now await the ticket price to be announced and expect that when ticket sales open, there will be a mass purchase as you will have to purchase well in advance to secure your day on the slopes.
