  • Sunshine and poolside, sounds inviting doesn’t it… Well for the Perisher faithful it certainly was inviting as skiers and snowboarders couldn’t resist from having one big splash before the season ends as entrants put their bodies on the line for dollars and pond skim fame in the last Perisher event for the season.

Over 150 entries with an array of costumes and ages all headed for the pool, and yes…. most got wet.

Money was given out for anything entertaining, decided by the crowd and a panel of 3 judges.
Each junior competitor received a pair of Skullcandy Headphones while the Open category were given cash prizes for outfits, successful skims, along with splashes and crashes!

Two made it completely to the end, local electrician Jason Frost and AJ Jones, but for most they took a dive in the chilly waters.

People came with all fancy dress including comic book heroes, penguins and a few with showing there fair share of skin. The event finished with a rail launch into the pool and a great day was had by all. See the photo gallery below for an array of images from the day and click on arrow to scroll.
